Resources/Tools/Hiring Maturity Audit
FREE · 4 MINUTES

Where does your hiring actually sit on the AI maturity curve?

Ten questions across five dimensions. You get a score out of 50, the level you're on, the gap to the next one, and the three moves that close it fastest.

The audit

Ten questions. Answer honestly, not aspirationally.

The score is only useful if it reflects what happens on a normal Tuesday, not what your process document says. Nothing is saved until you ask for the report.

Why it's worth four minutes

Nobody's stuck because they lack tools. They're stuck because nobody named the bottleneck.

Every talent team sits on one of five rungs, and almost every team guesses one rung too high. The audit is deliberately unglamorous: it asks what happens on a normal week, then tells you which single dimension is holding the rest back. Two teams with the same total score often need completely different next moves — which is why the result is scored per dimension, not just overall.

2
The most common level
Filters and templates in place, a human still carrying every screen. One change moves these teams up a rung.
4 min
To a scored answer
Ten scored questions, four profile questions for the benchmark. No account, no call, no demo gate.
5
Dimensions scored separately
Speed, structure, AI adoption, candidate experience and bias controls each get their own subscore out of 10.

The five levels, in plain terms

Read down until one describes your Tuesday
LevelWhat it looks likeThe move up
1 · Manual
10–17 points
A recruiter reads every CV and runs every first call. Consistency depends on who happens to pick up the role.
Take the first round off a person's plate for your highest-volume role.
2 · Assisted
18–25 points
Keyword filters and a rough template. A human still carries the weight of every screen.
Let screening run without a recruiter in the room for one role, and measure the hours back.
3 · Automated
26–33 points
An automated step screens before a human is involved. Output is filtered, but not ordered.
Add role-aware ranking so the shortlist arrives in priority order, with a logged reason per decision.
4 · Intelligent
34–41 points
Screening adapts to the role and ranks candidates. Decisions are explainable from a rubric.
Close the last manual gaps and add bias monitoring across outcomes, not just inputs.
5 · Autonomous
42–50 points
The top of the funnel runs itself. The team only meets people worth meeting.
Audit for drift, benchmark against your own best quarters, extend autonomy to offers and onboarding.

Fair questions

We built this to be useful whether or not you ever talk to us.

Is this just a lead form with a score on the end? +
You see the score and all three moves whether or not you give us an email. The email exists so we can send the written benchmark — and if there's nothing in your result worth a call, we'll say so.
How is the score calculated? +
Ten questions, two per dimension, each answer worth 1 to 5 points — the point value is the maturity level that answer describes. Totals run 10 to 50 and map to five even bands of eight. Each dimension also gets its own subscore out of 10, and the two lowest drive your priority moves.
What are the four profile questions for? +
Industry, region, company size and annual hiring volume. They aren't scored — they set the benchmark, because level 3 in a 40-person tech team means something different from level 3 in a 2,000-person logistics operation.
Will the moves all be "buy Talvin"? +
No. Standardising a rubric, setting an auto-acknowledgement and measuring completion rate cost nothing and need no vendor. Where automated screening genuinely is the answer, we'll say that too — and name where we don't fit.

Know your level. Now see the fastest way up.

Twenty minutes, your funnel on screen, and an honest read on where the time leaks. If automated screening isn't your bottleneck, we'll tell you what is.
